Almonte General Hospital and Carleton Place & District Memorial Hospital created the Mississippi River Health Alliance (MRHA) in 2016 to formalize their commitment to work together to improve each patient and resident’s overall health care experience through a strong, coordinated system of care. An integrated Senior Team leads the two Hospitals, as well as Fairview Manor and Lanark County Paramedic Service which are operating divisions of AGH. Over 600 caring staff, physicians and midwives provide excellent primary, acute and long-term care to citizens of Lanark County, West Ottawa and Renfrew County.

The Accreditation Coordinator, reporting to the Vice President of Patient and Resident Services & CNE, is responsible for providing comprehensive administrative, logistical and operational support to the leadership team to ensure the appropriate level of coordination support to enable MRHA to meet its targets relating to Accreditation Canada standards. The Coordinator supports the delivery of high-quality patient care and services with a strong focus on promoting excellent customer service.

Operating in a manner consistent with MRHA’s mission, vision and values, the Accreditation Coordinator works with teams across MRHA to support a culture of continuous quality improvement in order to meet corporate goals, Accreditation requirements, and legislative requirements.

The Coordinator’s main functions are to:

· Coordinate organizational accreditation activities in alignment with Accreditation Canada’s program.

· Manage accreditation logistics, timelines and work plans.

· Evaluate compliance with Required Organizational Practices (ROPs), standards and policies.

· Develop reports and presentations for leadership on accreditation readiness and assessment results.

· Support educational and communication strategies related to accreditation.

· Cultivate strong relationships with Accreditation Canada and collaborate effectively with internal teams to drive continuous improvement and sustain progress.

Education & Experience:

· A degree or diploma from a recognized post-secondary institution in a healthcare-related field is required.

· Minimum of three years’ experience in a healthcare setting.

· Experience with hospital accreditation coordination, preferred or at minimum familiarity with Accreditation Canada, standards, ROPs and relevant legislation (e.g. Excellent Care for All Act).

· Knowledge of the use of health care information systems for monitoring data analysis.
