Diversity, Equity, Inclusion (DEI) and Belonging 
The
Mississippi River Health Alliance (MRHA) is committed to advancing diversity,
equity, inclusion & belonging and addressing bias and discrimination, to
achieve better outcomes for all patients, families, providers, and staff.
All people
will be treated with respect and dignity, and barriers to safe, and quality
health care will be eliminated. We are committed to employing the right people
to provide the best possible health care and encourage the importance of
reflecting the diversity of our community in our workforce.
The MRHA DEI & Belonging committee’s
goal is to stay informed about DEI & Belonging initiatives to identify DEI
& Belonging gaps; develop an action plan; help to integrate DEI &
Belonging best practices into standard workflows; and host related education
events. The Mission, Vision, Values, Code of Conduct and other organizational policies guide the committee to provide support and education to staff, volunteers, patients, residents, families and the community.
The
committee will stay informed about DEI & Belonging initiatives and will:
- Identify DEI
& Belonging gaps
- Develop an
Action Plan
- Help to
integrate DEI & Belonging best practices into standard workflows
- Host related
educational events
Meetings
will be held approximately 4 times annually.
