Job Description
The incumbent is responsible for providing quality-nursing
care to patients and their families in the Outpatient Emergency Department.
Qualifications
· Current Certificate of
Competence from the College of Nurses of Ontario.
· Current B.C.L.S. Certificate.
· Current A.C.L.S. Certificate or
willingness to attain at own expense.
· Minimum of two (2) years acute
care experience in an active treatment setting.
· Emergency course or ENC.
· Triage training or willingness
to obtain.
· Demonstrated commitment to
continuing education.
· Demonstrated knowledge of the
Nursing Process and the Standards of Nursing Practice of the College of Nurses
of Ontario.
· Demonstrated excellent oral,
written and interpersonal skills.
· Demonstrated ability to work
independently at times without supervision.
· Demonstrates good assessment,
judgement, decision-making and documentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications
· Coronary care certificate.
· Previous experience in an
Emergency Department.
