Almonte General Hospital and Carleton Place & District Memorial
Hospital created the Mississippi River Health Alliance (MRHA) in 2016 to
formalize their commitment to work together to improve each patient and
resident’s overall health care experience through a strong, coordinated system
of care. Each hospital remains a separate corporation with its own Board of
Directors and Foundation. An integrated Senior Team leads the two Hospitals, as
well as Fairview Manor and Lanark County Paramedic Service which are operating
divisions of AGH. Over 600 caring staff, physicians and midwives provide
excellent primary, acute and long-term care to citizens of Lanark County, West
Ottawa and Renfrew County.
Reporting to the Manager, Diagnostic Imaging, the successful candidate
will have the ability to perform all diagnostic CT scheduling duties and wait
time reporting requirements with the skill and judgement to ensure timely
quality patient care. Must have the ability to work with minimal supervision.
Must possess the ability to work professionally with patients, and other
healthcare staff.
Duties and Responsibilities
· Receive and schedule all protocolled requests for CT
· Maintain a clear filing system as related to CT
priorities and requests
· Assure bloodwork requirements are fulfilled in time
for patients exam
· Pull daily requisitions and ensure completion; follow
up with physicians as required
· Update and print daily worksheets
· Ensure patient data is entered completely and
accurately in Cerner and WTIS
· All other duties as delegated by manager and CT team
lead
Mandatory Qualifications:
· Grade Twelve (12) or equivalent
· Clerical and Computer skills
· Knowledge of anatomy and medical terminology
· WTIS reporting knowledge
· Knowledge of Oceans or Novari e-requisition type
systems
Preferred Qualifications:
· Experience in a hospital or clinical environment,
preferably in Radiology, PACS and RIS systems
· WTIS reporting knowledge an asset
· Experience with Oceans or Novari type systems
· Experience with staff scheduling
