Emergency Preparedness and Response Plan
The Mississippi River Health Alliance is committed to ensuring the MRHA leaders regularly test the organization’s disaster and emergency plans with drills and exercises and complying with current Accreditation Canada standards.
The MRHA will be guided by legislative requirements such as:
- Ontario Fire Code, O. Reg. 213/07
- Public Hospital Act, R.S.O. 1990
- Health Protection and Promotion Act, R.S.O.1990
- Emergency Management and Civil Protection Act, R.S.O. 1990
- Occupational Health and Safety Act, R.S.O.1990
- Workplace Safety and Insurance Act, 1997
- Atomic Regulations Control Act, SC 1997
- Fixing Long -Term Care Act, S.O. 2021
The VP Capital Development & Support Services and/or the Manager of Facilities and Environmental Services is responsible for driving the MRHA Emergency Preparedness program; ensuring the Policies are maintained and for integrating the MRHA in the broader local Emergency Management community.
