Mississippi River Health Alliance Recognizes Pride Month Across All Sites
June 01, 2026
Carleton Place & Almonte,
ON – The Mississippi River Health
Alliance (MRHA) is proud to recognize Pride Month throughout June by displaying
the Progress Pride Flag across its sites, including Almonte General Hospital,
Carleton Place & District Memorial Hospital, Fairview Manor, and Lanark
County Paramedic Service Headquarters.
The flag raisings reflect the
MRHA's commitment to fostering respectful, welcoming, and inclusive
environments for staff, patients, residents, medical staff, and community
members.
“Pride Month is an
opportunity to celebrate the diversity of our communities while reaffirming our
commitment to inclusion, compassion, and belonging across the MRHA,” said Brad
Harrington, President & CEO, Mississippi River Health Alliance.
This year, the MRHA is
introducing optional rainbow lanyards for staff as a visible symbol of allyship
and support for 2SLGBTQIA+ individuals across the organization.
LCPS paramedics will once
again wear rainbow epaulettes and Pride flag pins throughout the month of June,
continuing a tradition of visible support, inclusion, and solidarity with
2SLGBTQIA+ members of our community.
Flag raising ceremonies were
held on June 1 at Carleton Place & District Memorial Hospital, Almonte
General Hospital, and Fairview Manor.
